This is the second part of two classes that replaces the NJ On the Job requirement for Turf category 3B. Courses 103 BTVT 1 and 103 BTVT 2 are mandatory for a Category 3B Certificate. If you are singing up for this you must also sign up for 103B BT VT 1. We will examine insect and weed control options including standard control products and IPM options and ID of the many insects and weeds are a threat to the health of turf. This course is taught online, live and interactive, in a virtual classroom using Zoom. Students can see the instructor, each other, hear each other, use chat, use screen drawing. The instructor can control the audio of each participant and the video as well as whether they can draw on the screen. NJ requires a photo ID and all cameras to be on for the entire Webinar and we must record the log in and the entire class presentation. One must have the proper working equipment to participate. Latecomers will not be awarded credit and are not eligible for a refund. Your Log in ID will be sent the day prior to the class date.

NJ: NO NJ Credits or CEU's are offered with this registration. This is part 2 (103b BT VT 2) of a two-day requirement to receive a certificate in lieu of on the job training for NJ category 3B Turf.

This class qualifies for NJ Pesticide Basic Training or CORE Topics class and can be used for 1) A NJ Basic Pesticide Training Certificate for Operators seeking a certificate to gain an operator license working under the direct supervision of a NJ Certified Applicator. 2) A NJ Basic Training certificate for those needing to take the CORE exam looking to become a NJ certified applicator. 3) Applicators seeking CORE credits in Basic Safety and Handling. This class will give the full 8 CORE Credits required for the 5-year minimum CEU requirement Those who wish to become Certified Applicators need to take this class prior to any Category Class if this is your first time in Pest Control. It is slightly over 4 hours of training, and it is done via Computer online live. Basic Safety and Handling for pesticide training in NJ including laws, testing, safety, storage, disposal, records, NJ Categories, PPE, State and National Rules and Regulations are covered. TURF Live Virtual Training for diseases and IPM practices and methods to control turf problems. This is a single day class for the listed credits. The course will examine major diseases and Turf care and cultural methods to make a strong healthy turf. Methods of pest control including traditional, a strong emphasis on cultural, and alternative approaches including organic options are examined. THIS IS FOR THOSE WITH A CURRENT PESTICIDE CERTIFICATION and SEEKING CREDIT (CEU's)
